The Challenge

RTGS needed to guarantee the integrity of its transaction logs and account-balances in an environment where even a small discrepancy could undermine trust and regulatory compliance. Records of who had done what, when and how needed to be provably immutable. Against this backdrop, RTGS sought to implement a verifiable, tamper-proof ledger that would show that no transaction log or balance had been modified undetected.

Build Circle stepped in to work alongside RTGS (and in collaboration with Azure SQL Ledger’s pre-release feature from Microsoft). They integrated the ledger technology into RTGS’s core database system across six Azure jurisdictions, covering multiple fiat currencies. This deployment provided an immutable, verifiable record of each transaction and balance, enabling RTGS to prove data integrity at scale.
